GENERAL RENTAL CONDITIONS
This contract represents a summary of the main provisions of the General Rental Conditions which, together with the rental agreement signed by the Customer, constitute the exclusive source that governs the contractual relationship between the rental agency I Rent a car and the Customer or their Affiliates.
USE OF THE VEHICLE
The driving of the rented vehicle is allowed only to the person holding a valid type "B" driving license.
The following minimum age is required: -"B"- 18 years - only for novice drivers, vehicles up to 55 kW - after 1 year of "B" driving license, all types of vehicles up to 9 seats. -"B" - 18 years for all types of trucks up to 35q.
The vehicle is entrusted to the Customer on the assumption that they use it personally.
The customer assumes all risks or responsibilities in case of entrusting the vehicle’s driving to third parties, including to a person without a driving permit or otherwise not authorized by the rental company.
The customer can inform the rental agency where they rented the vehicle of any other people who wish to drive the vehicle, who will be authorized later upon presentation of the driving permit. For any other authorized driving, a daily surcharge equal to 50% of what is described for the type of vehicle already rented is required. For certain vehicle groups in specific areas, two credit cards may be required, at the discretion of the rental agency.
RENTAL PAYMENT
With credit/debit cards, after authorization from the issuing Entity; and/or in cash. For cash payments, a deposit is required by bank check in the name of I Rent a car, the amount being determined according to the type of vehicle rented. The customer with a credit card authorizes the rental agency to charge their account for all charges related to their rental, including those needed for the recovery of any claimed credit from the rental agency against the customer.
INSURANCE EXCESS DAMAGE RC - FULL COVER - THEFT - FIRE
Rented vehicles are covered by R.C.A. and FULL COVER. If the customer needs any of the events mentioned above, the excess will be borne by the customer as stated in the rental agreement. In case of theft and/or fire, the excess paid by the customer is as indicated in the rental agreement and depending on the rented vehicle or motorcycle.
(A) In case of TOTAL IRREPAIRABILITY of the rented vehicle and/or motorcycle due to a serious traffic accident caused by driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, the deductible paid by the customer will be 100% of the current value of the rented vehicle.
FUEL SERVICE
Rented vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at the time of delivery. For each missing liter of fuel, the customer will be charged €2.50 per liter and a fuel restoration cost commission of €30.00 without VAT.
MILEAGE
Mileage limits and costs for additional kilometers of the rented vehicle are indicated in the rental agreement.
VEHICLE CIRCULATION
The customer is authorized to circulate and agrees NOT to drive the vehicle in areas not expressly indicated in the "green card" delivered along with the vehicle documents.
